Photographs are often enough for an initial assessment. If needed, we can arrange a consultation to discuss the best approach before any work begins.

Often they can. Faded inscriptions, monograms and decorative engraving can frequently be re-cut while remaining faithful to the original style.

Where a project requires stone replacement or other specialist work, I can coordinate the necessary restoration before the engraving is completed.

Where possible, I carefully study the existing engraving so new work sits naturally alongside the old. Every project is different, and preserving authenticity is always the priority.

 Yes. Occasionally the kindest decision is to preserve a piece exactly as it is. If I believe restoration would compromise the character or integrity of an item, I'll tell you.
